S.C. bill promotes paid local Confederate holiday

With the state of the country, I think it is shameful for Senator Ford of Charleston to introduce this bill. I understand that the Civil War and the Confederacy is part of American History. However the only reason that Senator Ford is introducing this is because he has aspirations to run for governor. I believe that the Confederacy albeit history, represents the dark days of this country. With this said the Confederacy should not be celebrated as a state holiday but should be celebrated in text books and museums. What do you think?

I TOTALLY AGREE! AND THEY ALSO NEED TO REMOVE THAT DARN FLAG FROM IN FRONT OF THE CAPITOL BUT REMEMBER THIS IS THE DIRTY SOUTH AND WE HAVE ALLOWED THEM TO GET AWAY WITH SO MUCH IN THE PAST. THIS IS JUST ANOTHER SLAP IN THE FACE. WE HAVE MUCH BIGGER FISH TO FRY. IF WE DON'T REPAIR THE DAMAGE DONE NONE OF US WILL HAVE JOBS. HE AND LIMBAUGH BOTH HAVE NO CLUE WHAT IT IS TO NOT BE ABLE TO FEED YOUR CHILDREN OR WORK AND NOT AFFORD HEALTH INSURANCE! I PRAY THAT THEY TOO WILL ONE DAY KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO LOSE EVERYTHING AND END UP ON THE UNEMPLOYMENT LINE AND SHOP WITH FOOD STAMPS. WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE SO THEY HAD BETTER BE VERY CAREFUL BECAUSE IT COULD BE THEM VERY SOON. THEY BOTH NEED TO DROP TO THEIR KNEES AND BEG GOD'S FORGIVENESS FOR THIS FOOLISHNESS! THIS REALLY ANGERS ME
