The Bush Legacy?

Today, the current President stated that the White House may step in and help to bailout the auto industry. I believe this is good but at the same time he is doing it to save his legacy. What do you think? Leave a comment on the blog

whatever his reason, it'd be a boon to this country. i can't believe the arrogance and oversight of the senate rupublicans. how they can flippantly allow millions to lose their jobs. republicans need to shape up or ship out, as far as i'm concerned, and the possibility that Bush might step in here is a heartening one.

I don't know why Bush might be willing to help the auto industry. It is hard for me to believe he is capable of feeling compassion for ordinary working people.

However I don't think it will save his legacy. He and his administration have left a stain on the fabric of this nation. One that will not be easily erased. The rest of the world will remember, no matter what the media and history writers in this country do.

I agree. I believe that one, we must help the car industry and two, this will not save his legacy. He has done some much damage to it [legacy] that it is doomed.
